HELPING OTHER PEOPLE FULFILL THEIR LIFE’S PURPOSE HAS ALWAYS BEEN A PRIORITY FOR JAIME EISENHAUER.
Getting into recruiting, where she can strategically help companies grow from a people perspective, became a natural answer for that. Of course, finding her own purpose lead her down a winding road over the last decade.
A native of Rochester, Jaime grew up in North Chili, where she danced and played soccer from a young age. One to always keep a full plate, Jaime started her first job at Wegmans on the cusp of her 16th birthday. A job stocking shelves quickly spawned a 10-year career where her love of customer service, people, and cultivating strong culture was first born.
On track to go to pharmacy school, Jaime moved from the retail floor to the pharmacy at Wegmans while still in high school, where she then spent five years learning about technology, systems, and working with people in sensitive situations — a place where making their days better became ever more important.
Her love of working directly with people inspired her switch from biochemistry at St. John Fisher College into marketing and management. In the spirit of staying busy and getting practical experience, she balanced full-time school, a full-time job as a paralegal, and nights and weekends at Wegmans before realizing that the legal field wasn’t for her. At the urging of her then-boss, she applied for and got a full-time job in Wegmans’ corporate buying department.
It was at Wegmans corporate that Jaime developed her own style of leadership, making her signature morning rounds to get face-to-face interaction each and every day. During that time, she enrolled in the MBA program at Fisher, finding her place with HR as a focus when she completed her masters in 2014.
Ready for a change after 10 years, Jaime left Wegmans and came to Innovative as a recruiter. Where Jaime found culture important at Wegmans, she describes it as explosive at Innovative. A progression of taking on more projects and an eagerness to learn brought her to her current role as Chief People Officer. Today, it’s up to Jaime to not only find the best talent to employ at Innovative, but to onboard and continuously connect with employees to make sure they’re set up to do their job successfully, and help them determine a career path that fulfills them.
Jaime’s ability to connect with people isn’t confined to the workplace. A middle child, she’s drawn much of her inspiration from her brother, sister, and parents, as well as her tight-knit group of friends she’s had since she was nine. She finds connections happen best over food and finds peace in the kitchen, where she loves getting creative as she cooks up meals.
It’s Jaime’s goal to increase her connections and help even more people find their purpose — at Innovative, with her friends, and in the Rochester community, particularly with younger generations. She’s most fulfilled when she’s aware of the impact she’s been able to have on others, especially in the smallest of ways.
Building connections. Leading from the heart. Being self-sufficient. Jaime’s values have guided her down a path she’s particularly grateful for — one where she can continue to love what she does and always have fun with it — and a place, Innovative, where mind, body, and soul matter as much as skill.
