David is a strategic financial leader dedicated to driving sustainable growth and delivering impactful business solutions.
Born in Providence, Rhode Island, and with time spent in Washington, DC, David brings a unique combination of strategic vision and financial expertise to his role as Chief Financial Officer at Innovative Solutions. With dual Bachelor’s degrees in Accounting and Information Systems from the Robert H. Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland, David’s education instilled in him a deep appreciation for growth through learning and asking the right questions—qualities that define his approach to leadership.
David began his career in public accounting, transitioning into roles within non-profits, government contracting, and, eventually, the tech industry. Before joining Innovative, David served as VP of Finance, leading internal and board reporting, implementing process improvements, and driving sustainable growth. He is passionate about building high-performing teams, fostering a culture of camaraderie, and improving financial operations to support long-term scaling.
A defining moment in David’s professional journey was guiding his team through the early days of COVID-19, balancing the shift to remote work while maintaining a close-knit team culture and scaling the business during uncertain times.
David enjoys collaborating with the forward-thinking team at Innovative and leveraging AWS’s cutting-edge technology to deliver unparalleled value to clients. He believes success lies in building genuine partnerships and consistently working toward shared goals with customers. In his own words, “It does not matter if we are explicitly client facing or not, we are fundamentally in customer service. Without our customers, we have nothing — and we can’t ever lose sight of that.”
Outside of work, David is a devoted family man, married with three energetic young boys who inspire (and keep him on his toes) daily. When he’s not running after his kids, David enjoys traveling to awe-inspiring destinations like Iceland and Hawaii, listening to music, and attending live sporting events — especially basketball games. David is also deeply committed to advocating for equal rights: “We are all humans and deserve to be treated as such.”
Guided by his personal mantra, “Therefore, what?” David approaches every decision in life and at work by thinking through the potential outcome first. David’s intention and purpose ensures that every action he takes drives meaningful impact.
